Grease Trap & Grease Interceptors

The current California Uniform Plumbing Code (CUPC), which the cities throughout Los Angeles County adhere to, requires all food service establishments to install and properly maintain a grease control device. All grease traps and grease interceptors are to be fully pumped and cleaned regularly to prevent the device from causing any plumbing or drainage dilemmas.

Hydro Jet Plumbing

Grease control devices trap the majority of FOGS waste, but not all. Over time, the grease waste and debris build up on the plumbing pipe walls, decreasing the pipe's diameter and eventually causing the line to close up, which can lead to slow drain or blockage. When working with FOGS stoppage, the most effective way to thoroughly clean it is to hydro jet the pipe or descale, restoring it to its original condition.

Waste & Used Oil Collection Service

It's mandatory that all waste cooking oil from commercial kitchens are disposed properly and collected by a licensed hauler. All waste oil disposed, must be collected by a licensed hauler and given a proper manifestation report.

  • Indoor grease trap cleaning help prevents unwanted occurrence that can negatively affect your business. Lack of service can cause these units to produce offensive odors, plumbing obstacles, and non-compliance citations. Not only it's mandatory to have a grease trap pumped regularly, but it's also best management practice to do so.
  • Outdoor interceptors are usually placed outdoor because of their enormous size. Unlike grease traps, most of these units are cleaned quarterly to prevent the FOGS content from exceeding the 25% allowable capacity. Lack of service will cause these devices to overflow, which leads to fines and costly cleanup costs.
  • Commercial kitchens are notorious for being known as having an abundant amount of grease build up in the pipes causing the drains to back up or drain slow. Hydro jetting pressure washes the walls of the pipes restoring the diameter to its original condition.
